  Wow, that cartoon has me speechless. You can't even joke about something like that, it's too self-parodying.

  Archeologest Johnathan Gray says so.

  I do not necessarily believe or disbelieve him. But he has muddied the waters and cast a reasonable

  doubt.

  Johnathan Gray might not be the most reliabel arcehologist.

  But the government is not the most honest or believeable either.

  And the smithsonian is run by the government.

  As are probaly most of the museums in the Usa.

  The bible did cover it.

  You just dont accept it.

  Before the flood their was a canopy covering the earth and

  things grew big.

  Now after the flood things grow small.

  There is archelogical evidence filled away in the back of museums.

  They don't put it out because it doesnt jibe with evolution.

  Apparently someone has an agenda and is trying to shape society.

  My best friend died yesterday

  sometimes people make special connections to animals.

  sometimes they bond very deeply and are real friends.

  yesterday was the end of such a friendship that lasted ten wonderful years.

  Sorry for your loss.

  I have been there and done that and will probably be there a few more times in this life.

  There is nothing worse than lossing our dog friends.

  But on the other time there is nothing better than the good days with our dog friends.

  is it possible to raise good kids with out religious morals?

  making up my mind on how to teach my son values in life seems to be an on going struggle of what is right and wrong.

  being raised in a sheltered jw life until after leaving high school seems like going from one extreme to another of being over restrictive or under.

  trying to find that balance.

  It depends on what you call good.

  I raised my son without religious morals.

  He hasnt been in jail yet,

  He is 40 and educated.

  He has 2 childred under 10.

  The jury is out on them, they seem to be good.

  Plastic buckets in Paradise

  i remember one picture of a pretty little girl holding a plastic bucket in paradise next to a tame lion.. i asked my wife if there is going to be polution in paradise?

  of course the answer is no!!!!!..

  i asked her where did the plastic bucket come from?

  Thinkg from a science fiction perspective.

  If a group of people were to live in a paradise like earth with no polution,

  They could import items from another world or another place.

  When I was young and lived in Cleveland Ohio.

  It was a steel town. The smog and poluttion was so bad you could not see the city

  from the top of the hill becaue it was covered with smog.

  Today the have exported all the jobs and steel millls out of Cleveland and from

  the top of the hill Cleveland kind of looks like a paradise with no jobs.

  I am just saying you could import a lot of things into paradise without having the polution,

  including energy.

  just because you belong to a religion, does it mean you espouse every idea that they have ever presented?.

  I believed what the JW's taught until I no longer believed.

  There came a time I could no longer believe the world was going to end in 1975.

  At that time I was no longer a JW.

  I never choose to believe anything about JW's, I was born in.

  It took me 31 years to figure how to get out, before computers, mass media and the information

  age.

  Looking back at my youth in the organization.

  I can see people were in for various reasons.

  Some were born in and trapped like I was

  and others saw it as a social organization a weekly coffee club.

  I remember many would go out to Dennys or some place like it after the meetings

  and have a big get togetther every week.

  Kind of like Bikers going to bike night on Wednesdays.

  Or car enthusiast going to car shows.

  I really don't know what the witnesses believe anymore.

  They have changed so much since I was one.

  But I bet they still believe they are right and everybody else is wrong and going to hell in a handbasket.

  JW's and depression

  i was wondering how many of you suffered badly with depression when you were in "the truth" and if you feel your depression was related to being part of the organisation?

  are you better now you have left or still have issue's?

  whatever your experience's i would be very intrested to know (if you feel you can talk about it.).

  I have always been depressed.

  I was born a JW and did not escape until I was 31.

  I don't know if being a JW had anything to do with being depressed.

  I think depression has more to do with empathy and awareness.

  The world is a rough place, sickness and death are everywhere.

  People that live in their own little world without looking out seem to be able to escape

  depression.

  My son is a doctor and he wants me to stay on the anti depressants as does my wife.

  I don't know if I need them anymore, but every time I try to wean myself my wife catches me.

  She says my behavior gives me away.

  Are first world countries to blame for the bulk of third world squalor?

  throughout several past threads various posters have emphatically made the point that countries like great britian, united states, france etc.

  basically countries where white people exist, are to blame for the poverty in many other third world nations.

  some have even went so far as to suggest that the first world is to blame for all third world conditions.. i often see excuses such as these for why a country refuses to provide clean water, some food and basic sanitation for its people:.

  theoretically the USA could not be a third world country.

  Because the term first world country means counties aligned with the United States.

  Second world countries are countries aligned with the soviet union.

  And third world countrys are not alligned with either.

  And are also called developing countrys.

  England is a firs world country because it is aligned with the USA not the other way around.

  A second way to look at it is the third world countries were slower to come out of the trees.

  A third and possibley most accurate way of looking at it.

  Is the first wordl countries are the decendants of alien races

  who are closer related to the primates that were on earth when the aliens arrived.

  And the third world countries were bred to be slaves by the aliens.

  Check out slave species of God by tellinger and

  zechariah zitchin and the Sumerian text.

  The epic of gilgamesh.

  The oldest known manuscripts to mankind which describe what I have just said.

  And another possibility is like the bible says we are all Gods children and created equal.

  But if you believed that?

  randy bachman (a somewhat devout mormon) was the driving force.

  randy had separated from the guess who (american woman, these eyes, no sugar tonight).
